My post here in February ....

Herewith a pic .

Ol' Charlie-dog had another round with this animal last night , and this time the polecat came off second best , with Charlie killing him :-(

On the one hand , not nice , but then , the polecat seems to have been raiding the poultry runs lately , stealing some eggs from one of my broody/ducks 0=
So , well done Charlie lol , but , he is not smelling very nice either ...... yuchhh 0*\

What can one do, okie? -O-

Maybe they are more common than one thinks, or struggling with drought/fires?

Seems a repeat offender!

Yeahh .... indeed a repeat offender having previously killed off newly hatched ducklings 0=

And yes , you would be surprised to know how many wild animals live in the winelands , hiding in the vineyards and orchards lol
To name some - Badgers , hares , genets , bat-eared fox , black-backed jackal , African wild-cat , grysbok \O .
Rhebok , Caracal and baboons in the mountains - the 'boons often raiding orchards and vineyards 0*\
