Re: When spring arrives in the Western Cape
all .
For those of you who may not be in the know , Worcester is not only the region in South Africa growing the most wine , but it is also home to a few other important and interesting places , institutions etc .
Firstly , educational-wise , we have a School for the Deaf , also a School for the Blind , therefore an important centre for people with such impairments .
The town also houses a teachers training college , a Technical school , apart from the usual training institutions .
And , it is also home to the KWV Brandy cellar , which is largest of its kind in the world
Then , last but not least , Worcester is also home to the Karoo Desert National Botanic Garden --a place certainly worth visiting . It was originally established in 1921 in Matjiesfontein in the Karoo , but moved to Worcester in 1945 . Visit the web-address here :http://www.sanbi.org/gardens/karoo-dese ... bg-history

September is the month when the mesembryanthemums come in flower. There are many different ones , all colours and sizes .
This one is about 6 centimeters across .
