Advice for newbies?
Re: Advice for newbies?
Was looking at the Facebook group on Umfolozi and everyone speaks about points, and give locations like this...23i.
What does that mean and is it on the maps of the park?

Yip, 23i means Imfolozi and h next to the number means Hluhluwe. All in the map book available at the gate I can try and take pics of mine and post

Oh and hippo are rare to see also
Make sure you braai at night as it adds another dimension to the trip One runs the braai and another the torch as you will have hyena all around you and never leave the braai with meat on it as it will disappear
The park is nothing like Kruger but the nights are super great if there's no wind (on the top of a hill)
