How does one place a signature on a photo?

Stf as I discussed if you place a watermark in the center and use the slider to fade it, I think it does not distract too much the image in the photo as per your's below . This is the best and down sizing it are the only way to prevent it as they will have to redo the photo to try and remove the watermark, the photo will not be the same due to them cloning the mark out .

I twigged your photo a bit in photoshop as well, before adding the watermark as example, If you object please let me know and I will delete it.

I have several time saw my pictures (specialy flowers) on other sites
so, I searched to put a watermark in the middle... and I found one with "piwigo"... my blog... an easy one, put it on all the pictures at the place I want... but I have to pay, not expensive, about 10 /15 euros per year.

I tested a lot of programs... each was one by one
