Winter has arrived in Johannesburg, a bit earlier than usual. The low temperatures seem to be keeping the bugs away and the past long weekend's sightings were very sparse.
This appears to be a Dragonfly I've not seen in my garden before, unless it's a morph of the Red Veined Dropwing.
Some kind of bug I've not seen before.
Another example of the
Thyreus Pictus Bee.
A Yellow Pansy Butterfly, the first I've managed to get pictures of.
And a day flying moth - very difficult to photograph as they do not settle; they feed while hovering at flowers.
That was it for the weekend. It's almost time to hibernate.
