SANParks visitors behave during festive season

Visitors to the South African National Parks (SANParks) throughout the country are obeying most of the park rules and regulations this festive season.
SANParks spokesperson, Ike Phaahla, says the rules and regulations implemented in every park are for the safety of the animals and visitors.
Phaahla says the speed limit which should be adhered to throughout the parks is 50km/h. Visitors to the parks must also not get out of their vehicles or stick camera lenses, arms or other body parts through open windows.
Phaahla says that tensions sometimes arise among visitors at animal sightings.
“People will just close off the road if they are at a sighting. At big sighting such as the big cats, I would ask our visitors to be courteous to others [and] create a passageway for people to be able to drive through.”

Maybe I should make it my mission tomorrow. Photograph only lenses sticking out of cars and then post the on their Gallery of Shame.

Fair enough, I suppose...these long lensed people are arrogant!
But seriously...I think most dirt roads have a 40km/h speed limit, so that is a bad mistake?

I will NEVER do more than 40Kph on a dirt road with my lens protruding!Richprins wrote:Fair enough, I suppose...these long lensed people are arrogant!

I wonder if one gets fined according to lens length?
Maybe a discount for having a short one?
