I agree with Lis' words and I'm certainly one of those who have never been there. But it sure looks nice and the scenery is stunning.
How many nights would you recommend staying at Marakele?

Stunning shots of birds at Marakele and the Klipspringers. \O \O \O \O Also the park where I saw the pied babblers for the first time.

Do you have a decent map that you copy and show in your TT. I've been there in 2007 and understand a few changes were made. \O

Thank you giving us an insight into Marakele, which is not a very well know park for most of us \O O0

My pleasure Lis! Thanks for tagging along!

We stayed for three nights and that was OK as we had some great company in the form of Super Mongoose & Skillie! I would suggest at least two nights as a minimum but it depends on how worried you are about seeing anything other the the scenery and birds.

It is a bit out of the way and not a place to see the bigger animals.

Why "almost"? I didn't include any spiders in the report :-?

Hahaha, a map! That's a good one! This is the map we got....

We got completely lost on our final drive and had to retrace our steps to get back to camp. As you can see, the poor photocopy of a photocopy of a...... is difficult to read and has no distances marked.
