There was a Hippo Pools off the S-3 where the Sabie River enters the park north of Phabeni for many years too! It was closed in the 1980s for security reasons.

A tributary of the Shingwedzi river and situated 31 kilometres south-south-east of the Shingwedzi rest camp. The watercourse was named after a local Shangaan tribesman of the same name and a literal translation from Tsonga would mean “Bullet”. Inhlamvu – (Zulu) meaning honey guide bird.
