KZN North & South Coast, January 2016

Post by Flutterby »

I thought I would share some pics from our recent trip to the coast. ;-)

Somewhere between JHB and Ballito. -O- I took it with my cell phone so not a great pic but I liked the windmills. ;-)

Image

These signs gave the Brat a good giggle! lol

Image

View of Thompson's Beach in Ballito from our verandah.

Image

On our first night we marvelled as the moon rose over the ocean.

Image

Sticks and sea -O- at Granny's Beach.

Image

Sea and sand.

Image

The Brat captured some nice scenes....interesting play of light on the sand and water. ;-)

Image

Taken from the tidal pool at Thompson's Beach.

Image

Image

Some beautiful polyp corals that SO was eyeing for our tank, but no picking of corals is allowed. :X:

Image

A 180 degree view.

:-0 :-0 :-0

What would I give for a room with a view like that right now and the according temps.
Actually, I'd even take our sunny winter weather with it, if I had the sea at my doorstep. lol

Lovely photos! I like the Brat's arty water-sunshine reflection shot. \O

But why is an exclamation mark and goats written underneath amusing? Something I don't get? -O-

And we could do with some of your cold weather! ;-) Not sure why the Brat liked the goat sign, it just tickled his fancy. 0-

We decided to head down to the South Coast for a couple of days for old times' sake...SO and I got engaged in Ramsgate. ;-) Our first stop was the Waffle House...a must-visit for the most delicious waffles with any number of toppings. From the Waffle House you cross a little bridge to take the pathway to the beach.

Image

The pathway goes through the Tangled Wood.

Image

One of the kids found this tiny frog...the smallest I've ever seen. :-)

Image

The Brat with his cousins.

Image

The Brat getting creative again. ;-)

Image

Enjoying the waves. :-0

Image

Image

A massive catch! O**

Image

The best way to travel when at the coast. ;-)

Image

The view from the flat in Margate.
