SUNDAY 12 OCTOBER 2014 - part 2/2
Masked weaver in the weeping boer boon tree next to our chalet.
Can anyone guess what bird this is?
A squacco heron at Mankwe Hide.
Southern grey-headed sparrow?????
Southern Black Flycatcher.
Our only but not very good photo of a Diedericks Cuckoo at Mankwe Hide.
White-breasted cormorant at Mankwe Hide.
Why is it that ellies always cause a roadblock just when one only has a few minutes to get back to camp. This guy stopped us on Tshwene Drive near the Potokwane off ramp. This caused us to reverse back and take the Tilodi Loop back to camp.
A beautifully designed moth in our chalet.
That's the end of Sunday. Monday to follow.

MONDAY 13 OCTOBER 2014 - Part 1/2
We always love this Monday as all the school holiday folk have left. All of a sudden all is very quiet.
European Bee-eater.
This red dragon fly near Malatse Dam.
Spur-winged goose at Malatse Dam.
Fork-tailed Drongo or as I call it - Dork-failed Trongo.
A couple of zebra at Ratlhogo Hide.
Absolute bliss for two warties at Ratlhogo Hide.
A nice group of giraffe on Kgabo Drive near the Pilanesberg Centre.
To be continued.

MONDAY 13 OCTOBER 2014 - Part 2/2.
Our first clear view of a golden-breasted bunting but in shade - such a pretty bird.
Another first for us - White-browed scrub robin.
A little grebe.
Not sure what this was but he very well camoflauged. Oooops - spelling not too good.
Finally for today a late evening shot of a waterbuck.
To be continued.

TUESDAY 14 OCTOBER 2014 - Part 1/2
Today marks the halfway mark of our stay and our spirits begin to drop - But then - HEY - there is still plenty of time to see plenty of game.
Here is a 6 photo sequence of a fish eagle taking off from a tree at Malatse Dam.
This guy crossed the road and did not even give us a second glance.
Another first for us although not a very good photo. Green-winged pytillia.
Yellow-billed ducks at Rathlogo Hide.
A lovely duo at Rathlogo Hide.
To be continued.

WEDNESDAY 15 OCTOBER 2014 - Part 1/4.
Sightings began to improve this morning with this mommy black-backed jackal and her pup on the Tilodi Loop.
Grey hornbill.
This lady was sitting a bit apart from the rest of the troop and did not worry about us being so close.
These two rhino were in a romantic mood.
After using the tap at Fish Eagle picnic spot these francolin ran up and quenched their thirst.
A lone male far into the bush on Motlobo Drive. Heavily cropped as even the 500mm lens could not bring him up nicely.
A pair of yellow-billed hornbills feeding their young at Tilodi Dam.
