So do the Italians....my father-in-law's name is Innocenzo, most people call him Enzo, but my mother-in-law calls him E'!! lol The Brat (Alessandro) is Ale', my SO's name is Girolamo (they started calling him Gary when he was small), and they now call him Ga, my bother-in-law (Francesco) is Fra!! O** =O:
