That view from the view point is stunning, Flutterby,
the baby zebra is gorgeous, the mud bathing rhinos wonderful and your birds are so colourful - All that together would make my day as well

Most roads are good, although some of the tar roads have potholes.Richprins wrote:Restful drive!
The roads seem to be in good condition there?
Tx stf. We don't often spend time at the hides because the Brat is too impatient so it was nice to just sit and watch.steamtrainfan wrote:Nothing beats a peaceful time at Makorowane hide.
Lovely birdies and the small willie.
We have yet to see a Violet-eared Waxbill.
The bee-eaters are lovely.Lisbeth wrote:Beautiful birds with the last bee-eater taking the first price even if the violet-eared waxbill has some lovely colours

Still at Makorwane.
African Black Ducks and an upside down impala.
Friends
Some startled kudu!
We had been in the park for about 3 hours so we decided to head back to Sun City for breakfast with the kids, then we spent the heat of the day at the Valley of the Waves and the pool.

The third photo of the impala drinking really shows how tense they are while drinking. Great photo.

LOVE the infant wildies - wonder why there are so few pics of their births Even in the KTP where there is much less foliage, so thanks for those images, wonderful.
The zebra reflections were way cool, but I like the impala even better, and the upside down one is so creative. I'm sure it was intended , not just a happy coincidence.
