What role does word of mouth play when Foreigners make their bookings, Dzombs, and may social media be playing a bigger and bigger role?

As I said above. If you want to be pampered. Have white table cloths, A 3 course 5* meal. A game drive where the "tracker" takes you right up to the leopard in the tree, then 5 mins later the pride of lions. Well then the Kruger experience isn't going to compare fairly to that????

Not too sure tbh.
But IMO it's about expectations and to an extent (misguided) perceptions.
Have a look on tripadvisor - the questions asked and help asked for - and you will see what I mean.

If they can tap into the market going next door to the private reserves. Then why not?

There's a forum
And also a destination listing with reviews and comments.
And you can also make bookings through them
