Re: What is ruining your current Kruger experience?
if i ever find myself in the south of kruger i make a point of visiting the skukuza golf club and enjoying a good well priced meal, a cold beverage and a good view
with very few people around to spoil the experience.
it has also been a place for a few yellow and green members to meet while in the park.
on saturday 17th i had a meeting in skukuza and eagerly headed for the golf club afterwards for some lunch.
i was dismayed to discover 5 open safari vehicles had taken their guests there for lunch..
yes.......i know i am being rather selfish to think that i have exclusive rights to this gem of a place..
what irked me the most was that one of the groups was not even supporting the golf club caterers..
(as there was a separate buffet set up for the other guests)
they were all sitting in a group and eating from brown paper bags...
that seems to suggest that their catering was more of a "packed lunch" scenario...
is this the end of the peace and serenity ????????
the future is not what it used to be

I would be ashamed of myself doing a thing like that i.e. I would never do a thing like that. Rather sit on a bench somewhere enjoying my packed lunch.

Or have something that I saw in America : a sign with an arrow pointing up into the forest , showing " Moose " . and up amongst the trees , every now and then , another sign , swinging out from behind a tree , with a moose's head painted on it ...........
Really , believe me , it's true
Enough is enough

Wonder who caters for the club? If SP, better to support them than a Gauteng franchise!
Possibly something to do with the rugby, leachy?

I was there in July leachy and all the safari operators were there as you describe above, so it looks like it's now the norm
