I would imagine that the brighter the moon, the easier it is for the prey to see you coming.

but when lions hunt in day time they are even more visible, so i doubt the full moon has anything to with their hunting patterns.

(joekin aside , the animals alongside the tourist roads have learned how to entertain the terrorists/tourists.)

Generally I assume the observations from experienced observers in differing areas and times carry some water.
