I hear grass noises, it's very early, I am peeping out the window, not easy through the mosquito net… wow we are surrounded by Springboks
They sleep on the stony path in front of our tents and going back down into the valley they take advantage of grazing the taller grass around the tents. I go out, one more time, trying to make as little noise as possible, the photos will be better without the mosquito net

A Laughing Dove welcomes me as well as a Cape glossy Starling.
Springboks test their force.

This morning is sad, at least for me, it is the last day in the bush. We return to base camp, Twee Rivieren.
Goodbye waterholes, private areas… it smells like the end

We leave around 9am. We don't have much road, but as always it depends on what we will see.

Further south, two lionesses and a male who follows them from quite a distance. It is "one eye", he is fine despite these eye concerns and his injury which seems to be better. He's crossing the road right in front of us, and I can see the injury.
