RÖSTI: Shredded potatoes fried with onions and spices. These days you buy them ready made, you only have to fry them and turn them until they are crispy and nicely coloured. You can eat them as a side dish or with a fried egg or with melted cheese on top or whatever pleases you. Very handy

It is not enough to have the shredded potatoes, it's the way that they are greased and spiced that is the difficult part
