24th August 2017 - Continued
Found a lion in the river bed off the S23
And some Ellies fighting on the Biyamiti road
We unpacked and chilled after the long drive down. Teagy and I took a walk around camp and were scared by a Bushbuck hiding next to the fence .
The evening drive was just a loop to the weir and back, the sun was setting and we took a few pics in the dwindling light
Just before camp, we saw what we thought was a leopard, turned out to be a Civet that was kind enough to stop so we could get a few pics

A Civet is almost as good as a leopard, if it does not run away right away
Also a squirrel

What an unusual giraffe stretching angle, SN!
Civet is more rare than leopard, I think, especially to get a good pic!
You must not be scared of the little antelope, they won't hurt you...

A marshmallow hubbly jol in camp
Nice lioness sighting on the S100
Some sleeping males on the H7…… I never have much luck on the H7 after Nsemani Dam, but others love it.
A long trip down to Biyamiti and I see you took the S23 and scored a lion. We drove it last year and it was stuffed so hopefully it’s been sorted out by now.
A fantastic civet sighting, in my opinion rarer than a leopard
I should have brought my biscuits also Granny has seen much worse many times

25th August 2017
This being our last full day in the park, we slept in and took a late morning drive on the loop of the S25 to the H4-2, then back to Biyamiti on the H5.
First a few pics of the sightings within Biyamiti camp
Another cheeky baby Ellie on the S25, we have found that Biyamiti Ellies are usually a bit more aggressive than usual, this little guy was in practice mode..
Close to Croc Bridge we found a young Giraffe, who must have had a lucky escape the night before
And a massive Croc
The rest of the drive was quiet except for a lone Hyena on the H5 and some general game
This Ellie skull on H5 has been there for a few years now.

A nice variety!
Ja, I'm sure the Biyamiti area has far less traffic so ellies are less accustomed?
Those oxpeckers take their pound of flesh and keep the wounds open for ages!
