Satara

The H7 was very quiet and we were soon back at camp. As we approached the gate we saw this ellie leaving the waterhole. I think it could be Satara 01. -O-

Image

He had some nice tusks but he didn't look right. Besides his floppy ear, his face looked misshapen. -O-

Image

Image

It was now definitely time for a regmaker breakfast! The champagne and orange juice didn't go down as easily as the wine the night before! O**

Image

A close-up for RP. ;-)

Image

Anna just loves Mrs Balls chutney and puts it on everything! lol

Image

After breakfast, we all took a much-needed nap, except for Anna who'd had a nice lie-in . <zz> As we'd got back to camp very early we were ready for an afternoon drive at 2pm. We wanted to show Jonty and Anna the deck at Olifants, so we headed up the H1-4. Just outside camp were some more babies. :-0

Image

Not sure of this model...another Steppe Buzzard maybe? -O-

Image

An ellie drinking at Nyamarhi.

Image

Two ellies drinking at Nyamarhi. ;-)

Image

And one more for luck!

Poor elephant, it really looks in a bad shape :-(

The buzzard could also be a juvenile jackal buzzard -O-

Quite a breakfast  Delicious \O I trust that you did not have lunch ;-)

Maybe it's just the angle of his head that makes the ellie look strange. -O- No lunch....straight to dinner.

Satara

I'd been wanting to do the new S147 , so now was our chance. I can understand why it's a one-way road...it's so narrow in some places. O-/

More ellies.

Image

Then I spotted another Verreaux's Eagle-owl. O:V

Image

This Fish-eagle was at eye-level, nice and close to the road. :-0

Image

No leopard for us, so it was back to the main road! :-( The mighty Olifants River.

We got to Olifants and went to the deck...we were the only people there! O:V O/\
