Thank you all. It was an amazing experience and an amazing weekend. We left Shingwedzi with pride and only then i said to SO that all my work are done so now i can relax and have an ice cold X#X

We drove out at the back gate and crossed the river thinking this whole area were under water with the floods

Image

Then at the tar road i turned left and went back to the high level bridge where we saw this tusker which were very far away

Image

Turned around again and took the S56 i think that run along the river. This must be the best road in the whole KNP

At first we thought this buffalo were dead

And then finally we arrived at heaven

Sirheni is my absolute favorite camp

We got unit no 15, unpacked and enjoyed peace and quiet. Only 3 units occupied for the night.

Our view of the dry river, so sad that SP won't rebuild the dam wall

Most places it's dry, only a few places with pools of water. So sad to see as I remember in 2011 the river were full and i was sitting on the stoep of cottage 1 watching the crocodiles swim past

Lovely kudu bull O:V

Sirheni dam had been very dry during the winter months also the previous years with only some pools left, nonetheless there are almost every day elephants and buffaloes around.

What a nice view you had from your unit. I share the sentiment that it's a real pity there was no water to attract more animals.
But at least it must have been nice and quiet with only 3 units occupied for that night. :-0
