Interesting that hyena kill, maybe a duiker? Many people think they don't hunt and just scavenge, but the jury is out regarding whether they or lion are the apex predators in Kruger... ;-)

What exactly do you get to eat for R75, you miser?

A local nice burger and chips costs over R50 here, and that's obviously without transport costs etc... lol O**
Spiders, Scorpions and Whip Scorpions are all Arachnids, Whip Scorpions are also known as Whip Spiders, fascinating creatures, boon ugly but not revolting!

I thought the kill was probably a Bushbuck judging by the colour of the one leg that I did get in a picture. The debate concerning Lions vs Hyaenas is an interesting one - I have seen some studies that report Hyaenas kill more of their prey than Lions do!

Less than you used to get for R42. If the previous proprietors could (presumably) make a profit at R42, why the massive increase in price? Smells like profiteering to me!

Back at Ngwenya for the middle of the day and I was out and about again. This time I found a Water Monitor having a swim.

A fisherman dropped his catch and the Monitor was on it in a flash!

Not a very lucky day for that tilapia!

I like jumping spiders...they are not as grotesque, and are good with pest control!

I wonder if someone doesn't just make up the dragonfly names as they go along... O**

Ja...profiteering indeed at the restaurants...it is going to backfire on them one day... O:V
