"Veels", Happy, "Geluk", B'day, "Liewe", To, "Maatjie", You....... O**

No, this is not the script of the next "Lord of the rings" this my families attempt of singing "Happy, happy" to me =O: at 3:30 in the morning

My two little brothers looked terrible  they blamed it on that darn poisonous mushroom  So it was left to the girls to do the packing and coffee duty. It was our last full day in the Park - off to Croc bridge for the night

We decided to drive to Skukuza via Voortrekker road and then proceeded to Croc

Goooooooood morning Kruger! O\/

Image

Voortrekker road - a very historic road, important to Kruger's history

Image

And what do you know - JOCK! ;-)

0/* Greenville – Much appreciated :-)

I am still working on a strategy to get the brothers & beaver to ease off their early awekenings

It's a lost cause - I've tried EVERYTHING -O-

(The gate opens 04:30 in January, so for the first hour or 2, us girls hide behind our O:V )

They are in the mind set that if you are not the first at the gate, then you are not in Kruger

A Kruger birthday – always special! O\/ O\/ O\/

We made a pitstop @ Afsaal & Skuks, and by 11:00 I could feel that the mercury would set some new records for a Kruger trip for us 0-

Another scorcher of a day, we put that pedal to the medal, and brave the heat for a few [O]

I have no idea where this was, somewhere hot!
Image

Can't even remember taking this pic...........................
Image

...............actually I have no recollection of events from Skukuza to Croc Bridge - Only fade hallucinations of swimming pools filled with ice & lots & lots of cold beverages :-? O**

By the time we reached Lower Sabie that's when things went south, (no pun int)

Beaver strapped each and every ice pack he could find to his body 0-

Tweedle dee & tweedle dum (2 brothers) threatened to jump into the Sabie if I didn't give them the reservation paper to show to the "tannie" behind the counter to fill up their stock, apparently it was "check reservations day" at L/Sabie - just their luck =O:

My mom refused to leave the walk in freezer, we had to call security ^0^

The rest of the family decided to take over the swimming pool, still 2 hours before check in and Croc Bridge don't have swimming pool 0*\

I on the other hand met up with old friends and crashed at their aircon bungalow for a while, X#X

Dankie C+N+J+R+P! 0/0 O0

=O: Ja, we were caught off guard, or as Beaver would state, "under supplied" 0*\ oi boys will be boys!

It was time to brave the last stretch to CB - O-/

These ellies caused a bit of a jam - mom had enough
Image

We made it to Croc-bridge , just in time, a storm was building on the horizon, and by 4 the skies opened O\/

The men decided to go on an afternoon drive and got saw some vervets close to camp,

Image

We ended the day with a night drive. A CB - night drive never fails to deliver ^Q^
Got the Vurhami pride close to camp, 10 min into our drive in fact. They went into stalk mode, and everybody waited in anticipation. A huge gathering of grazers formed ( impala, zebra & wildbeest) They luckily moved further off into the veld, much too the disappointment to those on the truck

I on the other hand was relieved, didn't know if I could stomach a kill that time of the night 0' We also saw lots of nocturnal animal, genet,bush-babies and even a civet!
A huge thank you (AGAIN) to Excellent our guide \O

Another b'day done & dusted, one I will never forget :-)

It was our last day , we opt to exit @ Malelane

Close to camp we woke the Vurhami pride, they were successful \O

Image

I heard from Excellent on the ND that this little nugget's sister or brother :-? got taken by a crocodile a month before :-(

Image

We left the lions in peace, if you can call that peace :O^

By now the light drizzle had stopped, and we were admiring a troop of baboons when a very friendly couple informed us of an interesting sighting about 3 km back. Thank you friendly couple O0 But the odds of them still being there slim to none, or just maybe 0'
We turned the corner, Thank you Kruger O\/ O\/ O\/
