I would estimate that the hoverflies were 5-10mm long!

Those hoverflies..... very hard to get because they were so small and when I got too close they would just move away!

Thanks again Nan! ^Q^

Lots happening at Duke's...whenever we go there the animal life is dead! -O-
As usual...brilliant pics, especially the Grey Heron and Egyptian Goose! ^Q^
Just like anywhere in the Park, sometimes there's loads to see and more often, nothing!

I think they have shut down the waterhole at Duke, we don't see anything there unless there's water in the pan.

We've also seen Zambhala!! O:V
I know that, but we always check when we go past \O

Another tusker to add to our list O/\ but the best of all the ones we saw was Duke in his prime!

Day 4, Tuesday 19 November 2013. Lower Sabie -> Home.

Our last morning dawned sunny and bright. We decided to leave the park at Phabeni Gate to avoid the roadworks on the N4.

We started off with sunrise at Sunset Dam.

A Hippo was giving us the eyeball

And this Hippo had eyes only for his lady love.

Three young bull Elephants were jousting in the Sabie riverbed.

At Nkhlulu we decided to get some coffee and while we were waiting for the shop to open I took a look around for something to photograph.

A Red Goundling (immature - that's why its not red) Dragonfly.

A Common House Fly

A Bee Wolf Wasp.

A Thread-waisted Wasp

A Common Striped Skink.

And a splendid looking Rainbow Skink.

And that was it for our Short But Slightly Longer Weekend in the Kruger.
