Aat & Elly -02- Overtaken by an African Wild Dog !

Post by aat »

*** Travel Tales ***
Trip to Kruger NP 2018 (March 28th > April 19th) New series of Stories

02 – Overtaken by a AWD

As some of you have noticed, I was a bit busy with presenting the Tuskers I have seen during last trip, so it took some time for next story here.

Time again for next story here.
Suppose you are driving slowly (dirt road S125) because this road is a small road with many opportunities left and right. Just about 5 minutes driving and something weird happened. Out of nothing overtaken by an Africa Wild Dog !

Huhhhhhhhhhhh…. What’s that ? Wild Dog … quick photo through the windscreen.

Oh my… this dog is running fast…
-
Image
-

Is he/she on her own ? Did not see other ones so what can you do… trying to catch up with this dog…
A bit later , coming around a corner… there you are and … not alone !

-
Image
-

Pffffffffffff…. Our first AWD’s this trip and the tradition goes on… AWD’s every trip… smile

Now we could relax a bit … engine off and watching them…

-
Image
-

Great animals , or sleeping or moving all the time… the pack was happy to see the fast running one. I should give this dog a speeding ticket

-

It took a bit of time to count them because they were running in the high grass , some others appeared and some moved away for a while…but finally I could count 14.

-

I love these dogs, playing, socializing

And

Suddenly the leader decided to go and they all started to follow , running through the high grass… jumping and gone….

See you next story
