the entire landscape of crooks corner has now been changed by the floods.

the parking lot is now half the size....

the block of stones that richie and his cousin were sitting on on page 5 of this thread

"the world according to boon"

which is the same block of stones that my friend is standing on here

under the trees ...



is now a mere bundle about 15 m away from the car park.....



i have attempted to indicate in the following photos

where the terrain has been washed away ...

i think that the limpopo will be a lot fuller next month

with all the rain that they are having in gauteng..

hartebeespoort dam has been overflowing..



i will be there (at crooks) on 4th december...

I think the name Crooks' Corner is a bit offensive...maybe one should change it to something more arbitrary...I don't know, perhaps Jacob's Corner?

I have read somewhere why it's called Crook's corner and it seemed very suitable

A lot wetter and greener in those years, or probably just less elephant...in fact ellies were few and far between at Pafuri!
