Best Camp for Bungalows, Chalets, Huts, Safari Tents

Post by Bushcraft »

Below is a list of camps in KNP that offer bungalow, chalet, huts and safari tent type accommodation. Many also offer camping, but this is aimed specifically at non-camping accommodation.

My personal favourites are the FU4V units at Lower Sabie and the GC4V units at Skukuza. They are both in awesome game viewing areas, have river views and if one is lucky with the neighbours, relativity peaceful.

Tamboti was my favourite until 2 years ago when we had a nasty time with noise.

Please have your say (or vote =O: ) with reasons

I don't know which one is my fav in Kruger, but I DON'T LIKE Berg-en-Dal, Letaba, Mopani, Olifants, Orpen, Satara & Skukuza very much, missing the bush feeling there -O-

Best ones are perhaps Croc Bridge in the new chalets overlooking the river, the tents at Tamboti and Punda with a true bush feeling and some nocturnal visitors or a river front chalet at Lower Sabie.

:-?

Only one choice?? That's hard! :-? My two favourite camps are Lower Sabie (riverfront bungalows) and Satara (any 3-bed hut) as they are both in prime game-viewing areas. \O If I had to choose a camp purely for its aesthetics I'd go for Olifants...just something special about it for me! ;-)

Satara Flutts   Not the 6 sleeper units as I would rather stay in a tent ;-)

BC, my choice is based on game-viewing. We spend so little time in camp, so as long as the bungalow is clean and everything works we're happy....we only had one problem in Satara with a faulty hotplate. \O
