AENP’s wildlife populations generates surplus high value game – assist with management of other parks and revenue generation.
...
Predation affects buffalo sales (selling buffalo makes more money than tourists visiting to view the lions / elephants).

SanParks is getting really full of themselves! 30 new units and 41 new campsites within two existing camps. (0!)
There goes the charm of Matylholweni. O/

But of course, everything is done to please the visitor. Well, everything unless it's affecting the revenue as
shown with the statement that buff sales create more income than people who come to see the lions. 0'

You forgot the picnic site at Matyholweni, Toko. 0*\

And the rondavels overlooking the waterhole are deemed to be budget accommodation... I'd hardly call 1300 Rand a night budget. 0-

Can we collect arguments against the draft management plan here...
Would be helpful to send them on before the deadline. \O

Spontaneous thoughts:

1.
It's not allowed to ride bikes in Kruger, so why would Addo need even a playground.
People who come here want to enjoy the wildlife and the silence that goes with it.
The noise created at a playground in either camp - Addo Main Camp or Matyholweni
might impact the game density close to the camp, i.e. at Addo Camp waterhole.

2.
Neither Addo Main Camp nor Matyholweni are booked out for most of the year, and
that is particularly true for the campsite. Is it really necessary to have more accommodation
and camp sites just for holidays? Or shouldn't there be a plan to get occupancy rates
for the existing accommodation the whole year round.

Connecting kids to nature is a good thing, I think. And a natural playground would have benefits if the design is apt to experience nature. It depends on the design. SANParks should come up with a plan to make the parks attractive for children, but building traditional playgrounds and other fun park elements is not apt.

I agree! But the term "playground" has a certain connotation to it which has nothing to do with connecting kids to nature.
