It was, however, no secret that Mabunda and Dlamini had not seen eye-to-eye on numerous issues but Dry said, “With regard to an assumed dispute, the board wishes to state that there was no dispute declared and that the so-called conflict of interest was an employer/employee relations matter, which would have been dealt with through applicable internal processes.”
How long has this crap been going on?
Khuseni Dlamini was in the searchlight years ago regarding another SP-related matter, and is extremely rich! Google it!

Re: SANParks CEO could pocket millions from MalaMala
The resignation of SANPark’s CFO, Mr Themba Mabilane, immediately after the announcement of the CEO’s departure, sent more shock waves through the organisation. Staff who did not want to be identified, said Khoza’s action was interpreted as a protest against the board.
That is also crap. There was an investigation, as far as I am aware, regarding Mr Mabilane. This whole thing stinks! Normally they are redeployed, not fired, so jumping ship.

General:Official allegedly got R81m from MalaMala deal
Former SANParks head David Mabunda, a leading figure in land reform in Mpumalanga, allegedly received R81m from the historic R1bn MalaMala land claim, according to a Beeld report. The allegation is contained in an audit report commissioned by the SANParks’ board as part of its deliberations on whether Mabunda should be appointed for a third term. The investigation unearthed a serious conflict of interest as he was head of SANParks and a director and shareholder of MalaMala. The Land Claims Court found in 2012 that even an amount of R790m was exorbitant for the purchase of the MalaMala reserve. But, notes the report, at the end of 2013, the Land Reform Department agreed to pay more than R1bn for MalaMala in an out-of-court settlement. The SANParks board decided not to appoint Mabunda for a third term. Mabunda said this week he was given permission in 2009 by then board chairperson Kuseni Dlamini to acquire shares in MalaMala. According to Mabunda, he also declared his directorship to SANParks. Mabunda has since taken his former employer to the CCMA for outstanding monies allegedly due. The CCMA has referred the matter to the Labour Court.

Dlamini did all the excusing for Mabunda, but understandably, as Dlamini himself was implicated in a "conflict of interest" situation regarding one of his companies providing srevices way back. He resigned as director of that company.
Now both are gone from SANParks....
