Kruger Park signs MoU with Mining Company

Post by Toko »

Media Release: KNP enhances information dissemination for tourists
Information broadcast in the Kruger National Park (KNP) will as from yesterday, 19 September 2013, get better as the KNP’s GM: Communications and Marketing, William Mabasa officially received 27 flat television (TV) screens on behalf of Management, from Phillip Fourie, Head of Safety and Sustainable Development, for Anglo American’s thermal coal business at Paul Kruger Gate.

....

Philip Fourie commented: “We see the handover of the screens today and the signing of a memorandum of understanding as the beginning of co-operation between the two organisations – for the benefit of the country. Anglo American believes that the impact of mining should be positive and to the benefit of South Africa, its people and the environment. We look forward to a successful partnership with Kruger National Park”.

They've cocked up the release again..

There's no coal at Kruger Gate...this probably refers to potential mining activity adjacent to Kruger in the Punda/Pafuri area...or maybe Mapungubwe...garbled in the extreme! O/

How can the impact of mining be positive? Here we are obviously talking about gain/money NOT environmentally positive 0=
