Welverdiend (S-126)



I spent a LOT of time there around 1990, as used to stay with a friend at Orpen! :-0 This waterhole seems to have been operational for a while again...here is a pic by Bushcraft drought 2016:

A- Shade (3/5) (There are many big trees around, but only a thorny bush in the parking circle for most of the day)
B- Closeness to the water (3/5)
C- Rare mammal species (3/5) - (Predators, Sable)
D- Proximity to a camp/gate (ease of access) (2/5) (Orpen, Satara,Talamati,)
E- Remoteness (off the main roads) (4/5)

= 15/25


Best sightings: sable, eland
