These two old stalwarts were at the waterhole in Okakuejo. The old codgers looked like they had a lifetime's worth of mischief between them. lol

This one looked as if he would have had an impressive pair of tusks had he looked after them in younger life.

Image

He was all for playing a prank on future visitors to the waterhole.

Image

Prank over, he ambled along at his own pace. (Note the trunk held in the J-sniffing position again).

Image

His partner in crime had a well cared for pair of tusks.

Image

And also held his trunk in the J-sniffing position.

Image

The trunk is held in this position to monitor the elephants surroundings. This one was likely checking us out as we were standing close by.

He turned and gave us a shake of the head, still monitoring what we were up to.

Image

Before moving on again, checking out who was ahead of him by sniffing the ground in front.

Image

Then stopped to reassure himself that all was well. Note the J-sniff position even though the trunk is resting on one of his tusks.

Image

He then relaxed and took a nice earned breather.

Camouflage patterns in Royal Airforce medium sand brown and medium dark brown...no jokes, that's how they label paintjobs!
