UPDATE INJURED WILD DOG
Vets there now. Confirmation received that it's a result of fight between males in pack. It's mating season, going to happen. Several puncture wounds, snare thus ruled out. They looked carefully, he will be okay real soon.

Although, it doesn't say they did anything to him. Maybe when they saw it wasn't a snare, they just left him.
