The little brown job looks like a Karoo scrub robin to me.
Melanistic springbok Never seen before.
Alhtough... it does look a bit like a cross-breed between a springbok and a bontebok or a blesbok.

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

Black springbok are actively bred by game farmers, Mello! Not that uncommon, and hunters pay extra...don't know if they think it's a new species?
You get black impala too!
Dunno about black steenbok!
(Looks like the antelope get burnt by the heat there!)

Re: Overnighting in the Tankwa Karoo
i popped into the tankwa again during my vacation
to hook up with my friends from riebeek kasteel
and to contemplate my navel...
quite a bit of activity at the waterhole
bryan habana also popped around for a drink
karoo bossies stretching as far as the eye can see
with a serious fire in the distance
that had been going for three days
sunset..
the darkest night of the month
reveals the stars in all their glory..
the future is not what it used to be
