A mouse belongs to the genus Mus and a rat to the genus Rattus

This one is a "thicket rat". Grammomys is a genus of rodent endemic to Africa.

All of them are in the family Muridae.

Why is it also called a Woodland Mouse then :-? Maybe because it sounds nicer lol
