Shingwedzi is elephant paradise, and you might be lucky enough to find some big tuskers.

Mopani area a definite must for these majestic animals. Mooiplaas Waterhole (S50) sure to deliver a tusker or two in one day.
H1-6: Bowkerkop, Confluence Lookout, Tsendze loops - in fact, the whole area surrounding Mopani.

When it comes to elephants, the roads around Lower Sabie is not shy either. Some really BIG herds around there.

The S36.
It does not have that many ellies there, but when it delivers, boy it delivers.
Have spotted many big tuskers there.

Re: Best place to find Elephant
Skukz to LS road in Kruger. Confirmed during our Jan 2012 visit - We saw herds of elephants on this road.
And we were forced to reverse for over 3 kms by a male elephant close to the cement dam before one enters the mountainous terrain of 'Nkumbe range' - last gravel turn-off to the left from LS to Tshoks on the H10. (No zoom!)
Plenty of breeding herds on this road too. Also on the Salitji Road (Gravel between Skukz and LS - S30) and the old Tshoks gravel road (S128).
Wrong pic. The white elephant - Theuns' earthly treasure.
