 leachy, two gay grasshoppers are of the same size, we have a male and a female here, the female the larger one.

0/* all, so here is my story:

Image

A tiny agile male grasshopper about 10 days old felt he was strong enough and had produced enough spermatophore to get mated, as he had eaten well over the last week. So he went searching and found a female not far from his feeding grounds. He approached her and displayed his beautiful red inside of the legs as well as his rosy coloured wings. Indeed he got her attention and she was ready to mate, so he walked onto her back and carefully locked his genitals into her ovipositor and delivered his best parcels of sperm to her. But the entire process was slow and took a while because he wanted to release another load of sperm in order to have lots of offspring. Meanwhile the female got hungry and started feeding during the copulation and suddenly leaped to a new juicy food plant when the smaller male fell off her back and then - still interlocked - got dragged by the strong female.
It did not affect mating negatively as their genitalia remained attached, so it was a lucky day for the small male when he mated for the first time.

These are agile grasshoppers in the subfamily Euryphyminae, I think a Amblyphymus sp. Nothing is known about their biology :O^

So guys, what's your story?
