A week at Klein Kariba *

Post by harrys »

Hi there 0/*

As you might know I went to Klein Kariba for a week to go and relax and to spend some time with Anja before her graduation event on 24 January.

I left 0n 19 Jan at 11:00 and arrived at 13:45.

First let me tell you about Klein Kariba.

This resort is 7km outside Bela Bela and 20km from Modemole(Nylstroom), the resort is between the mountains and wow what a beautifull place it is, so tranquil and you hear the birds and other small animals going on the whole day. There is a smallish dam where you can catch and release fish, some hicking trails, horse riding and game drives. There are 3 warm swimming pools(1 under roof) and 2 cold pools, a restaurant, shop and take aways.

Appart from camping there are holiday flats, safari tents, mountain huts, river huts and your normal chalets.

Photos to follow.........

Hi everyone

These few pictures is what I experienced with some of the people that work at Klein Kariba. One of my friends also work there and usually include me in certain things.

On this day I was walking around taking some pictures when my friend, Eugene, drove past me in a hurry and stopped. He told me to get in immediately and we went to get someone's camera. I had no idea what was going on.

As we drove Eugene told me what happened and I got really excited. Here are the pictures that I took and I think it will explain what the fuss was all about:

When we got there the Python already killed the baby klipspringer and the snake was around the klipspringer suffocating it

Image

Image

The people started to gather around and the snake decided to leave the klipspringer and started to move into the bush

Image

Before they went to release her they asked me if I wanted to come with so obviously I said yes. Now the guy who handled the snake is also one of my friends and he held the snake like this so that I can get a good picture of it

Image

And then we released her in a place that is away from the human area

Image

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did ^Q^ O\/

They did put the klipspringer with the python when we released her but we don't know if the python went and ate the klipspringer
