We ended up in Connel. A delightful little town and a good place to stay for a night.
The restaurant of our choice – the Oyster Inn – against the threatening dark sky.
Mind you, there are not that many places to eat in Connel. But this was absolutely awesome and we spoilt ourselves with excellent food after all the pub grub we had eaten the days before.

Fresh mussels in creamy white wine and garlic Marinière sauce:
And a final shot from the outer Loch Etive at Connel:

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

The next day was even wetter and therefore I concluded my photographic tour with very few photos. Here are two taken at Loch Lomond:

I did indeed miss your post, Flutts.
And some serve as a residence for the rich (like Balmoral for the British Royal Family). There are so many castles around
Scotland, it's actually unbelievable!
nan, Nessie I think, we saw it. Like every other tourist... Seeing a large trunk in the water and pretending it's the
mystery creature. -O
It varies. Lots of those castles are just ruins (like Stalker). Lots for them are museums (like Dunvegan and Eilean Donan).Flutterby wrote:So picturesque!! Are these castles all museums or do people live in some of them?
