Do you mean the BSK or the angry Flutterby? =O: =O: =O:

I like the BSK pic and PRWIN has adjusted it much as I would have. When taking pics of white birds I always try to underexpose a stop or two to avoid blowing out the whites, but you then loose the colour in the eye and have to lighten it again later. I would have made it a portrait pic as well as the branch leads you into the pic and the tail and primaries point to the bottom righr corner. \O

Would I have got a better result using a flash here? And is the composition right?

Basically there is nothing wrong with the picture, also nothing right.
For your own record anice shot to have as a reminder.

For competition value,.... all wrong. To me the branch seems to be stealing
the show moreso than the bird. Are you into botany or birding??

Tried copying and loading my competition pic's for perusal but heck,
can tell you now, my fighting ellies a no-no, bad focus bad lighting!!
composition?? ag okayyy.,

My giraffe, composition from above rather odd but yah a no no 'cause
the birds wings not fully extended,...

My baboon, composition has merit but the eyes lack lighting, a loss of
authority, if the picture could speak for itself,.........

So......????
