Hmmmm...... by the shape of those structures , it looks like they intend to put up a whole lot of fruit stalls , or take-away stalls or something . Something like an ongoing Saturday morning market, including weekdays , in the offing there
Just in time for the Christmas rush ..........

Re: Nkuhlu Tented Camp
I'm sure the development has been well-announced and acclaimed via all the relevant channels as a great step forward?

Re: Nkuhlu Tented Camp
Ok, found out what it is...a solar farm! One is already up and running at Tshokwane, so sharp, better than the big generators currently running. Tshokwane also wants a birding camp, so quieter for tourists...

Re: Nkuhlu Tented Camp
I think it is quite expensive in the short term still, H., but better solar than diesel. It is quieter for overnight guests, and can run aircons if it is this size? The Tshokwane one needs to run the ranger station too, presumably.
So ja, a prelude to the camp starting, maybe!

Re: Nkuhlu Tented Camp
Once again RP, these operations take place on
already disturbed ground!! Keeping within the
boundaries will not require any impact studies.
Fact is once again this venture not incorporated
in the bigger picture of cumulative impacts!!
Traffic studies in the southern part still remain
a very questionable practice!!

Re: Nkuhlu Tented Camp
It is surrounded by tall trees which affects solar very negatively

Ja, well there we are. I'm just worried they are blowing money at pace now before 2019 with all the new developments...
