A visit to planet Mopani

Post by Alf »

So as everyone know, the alien family visited planet Mopani. O**

It was a much needed break after a hectic time at work. Took the opportunity when my boss told me one morning that he can see I'm having a rough time at work.................

That meant only one thing O**

I need to book a few days in Kruger O/\ O\/ O/\ O\/

School holidays made it difficult but I managed 3 nights at planet Mopani O/\ O\/

Next trip to the bush??

Let me think......................

We arranged to meet RobertT just outside Pretoria at 3am on Friday 30 September :O^

Found some road works at Polokwane which made us take a detour through town..... Don't think RobertT saw the right turn off for the detour as his navigation didn't expected any road works and was obviously confused too O** lol lol

Just before Tzaneen the little alien were moaning at the back.....Mommy I feel sick :-? He started getting car sick with all those sharp bends.....

I had to slow down with Mrs Alf diving to the back to try and help him :-(

Then we arrived at Phalaborwa gate just after 8am. It was overcast and started to drizzle but nothing too serious.

The road just got wet and then it stopped again

Checking in at the gate we were told the bathrooms next to the reception were closed as there was no water :-? Which was very confusing as the bathrooms next to the gate were open and working

Then we left RobertT as he was heading to Shingwedzi to pitch his tent and we decided to drive slowly to Letaba for a nice late breakfast...

Our first animal @#$ O/ Road kill

Then we realized my cooler box isn't working and won't keep the tea cold O** we decided to stop at Masorini picnic area to investigate

Image

Then we realized it's dry and this place needs rain :-(

Image

Found the plug of the cooler box got disconnected 0= but I sorted it out quickly :-)

Then down the road our first buffalo

So we carried on ............. O**

Next trip to the bush??
