I thought I would share some pics from our recent trip to the coast.
Somewhere between JHB and Ballito. I took it with my cell phone so not a great pic but I liked the windmills.
These signs gave the Brat a good giggle!
View of Thompson's Beach in Ballito from our verandah.
On our first night we marvelled as the moon rose over the ocean.
Sticks and sea at Granny's Beach.
Sea and sand.
The Brat captured some nice scenes....interesting play of light on the sand and water.
Taken from the tidal pool at Thompson's Beach.
Some beautiful polyp corals that SO was eyeing for our tank, but no picking of corals is allowed.
A 180 degree view.

Wouldn't mind a trip down to the beach. Lovely images of the sea, rock pool and coral.

What would I give for a room with a view like that right now and the according temps.
Actually, I'd even take our sunny winter weather with it, if I had the sea at my doorstep.
Lovely photos! I like the Brat's arty water-sunshine reflection shot.
But why is an exclamation mark and goats written underneath amusing? Something I don't get?
God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

And we could do with some of your cold weather! Not sure why the Brat liked the goat sign, it just tickled his fancy.Mel wrote:

Re: KZN North & South Coast, January 2016
We decided to head down to the South Coast for a couple of days for old times' sake...SO and I got engaged in Ramsgate. Our first stop was the Waffle House...a must-visit for the most delicious waffles with any number of toppings. From the Waffle House you cross a little bridge to take the pathway to the beach.
The pathway goes through the Tangled Wood.
One of the kids found this tiny frog...the smallest I've ever seen.
The Brat with his cousins.
The Brat getting creative again.
Enjoying the waves.
A massive catch!
The best way to travel when at the coast.
The view from the flat in Margate.
