Pilanesberg Easter Weekend

Post by honeybee »

We had a lovely 4 days at Bakgatla... Saw many Rhino, various buck, warthog, zebras, lovely birds. Giraffe , they I think are just so adorable.
The one complaint I have is the monkeys in the camp. We had to put locks on the zips of our tent. If you did not they just unzipped them. Quite a few were quite aggressive. Sadly, I am sure people used to feed them. This is now a huge problem as they think they can just come in at lib.
I would love to see elephant,, they eluded us.

You were in Pilanesburg for 4 days and didn't see 1 elephant?!
That is unusual!

No elephant. That is very strange indeed. When we go to Pilanesberg and try guess the first animal to be seen we do not allow elephant or rhino. -O -O

So sad about the monkeys.... We were there in December and February and had no problems.

I have heard that it is best not to leave any fruit in our tent. The monkeys pick the smell up and then they go wild...

Looking forward to your pics \O

Some very nice photos.

I usually have luck with elephants along Kubu drive. And another road, off the top of my head can't think of the name. Will check on my map tonight.
