I think there are studies that have run their course, nana, but without experienced mentors, and hard scientific data. Not the students'/new generation scientists fault, but experience kicked out a decade or more ago during restructuring? Maybe the remains look ugly or something...and the broken dams do hold some ghastly water slightly longer than a virgin stream would...
(one can't really see the dam wall from the camp...)
