WEEK 4 - WALES - LAKES DISTRICT - ENGLAND.
London - Carmarthen - Chester - Keswick - Stratford-Upon-Avon- London
9 August 2005.
By car to Carmarthen to visit my cousin Pam whom I had never met before. They had bought a very old farm house built in the 1700's and were busy restoring it.
A view of the farm house.
A short video clip of the inside of the house.
10 August.
By car to Chester.
A row of colourful shops in Chester.
11 August,
To Keswick.
Joan under an unusual tree.
Some of the lovely scenery around Keswick.
12 August.
Took a ride on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway for a boat trip on the lake.
Video clip of the train and boat trip.
On the boat.
Some more lovely scenery.
Some colourful B&B's in Keswick.
13 August.
To Stratford-Upon-Avon.
We could not resist stopping to take this shot of a typical country road on the way to S.U.A.
14 August.
Back to London.
No photos.
15 August - My birthday.
Spent the day at the London Transport Museum.
16 August.
Sightseeing in London.
A visit to the Royal Observatory where I had the privilege of standing across the Meridian Line with one foot in the east and the other in the west.
Next - our final week.
