The food there is superb. I also enjoyed the market.
We went there for a long weekend a few years ago on a stag weekend. I'll not say anymore about it except confirm that the nightlife on La Ramblas was great.

Toko the night life goes on till early in the morning, it only got dark there at about 9:30pm , then they start
their day at 9am...think that's why they say Barcelona never sleeps
