Though it should not be necessary 0*\ But as you say, leachy, luckily they have understood that it is an important factor for the visitors  ^Q^ ^Q^

We had a very interesting chat with the new manager at the Mopani restaurant. He took over about a month ago now. He wants to get things back to the way they were before with tables at the lower deck, those rock fountains working again, etc

Sounds very promising. Let's wait and see \O

Next trip to the bush??

Jhhaa, so Sanparks thought that they would rid themselves
of labour dispute etc. by going common on the eatery front.

The common old saying once again, "love passes through a
stomach",.. =O: =O: By assumption, at higher level, it was
presumed that commercialization would relieve the problem!!

0*\ 0*\

Oh goodness what a feeble thought!!,,more like making my
problem , your problem, dear entrepreneur of standing!! You
now find self doing battle on behalf of Sanparks,.. =O: =O:

Restaurants elsewhere, just go up in flames
for no good reason!!!,. =O: =O:

If ever at all, by common yardstick, Tsitsi has
always been a good example of mismanagement!
Then again Sanparks have this lousy attitude of
isolating their regional problems!! To such degree,
a block away would seem a world apart!! =O:

Pretoriuskop’s Wimpy-staff on strike about salaries

There’s a Wimpy moment in every day. Enjoy every moment. That’s Wimpy’s adline but there might be a fewer of those happy moments in the restaurant in Pretoriuskop in the KNP today because staff members are on strike.

SKUKUZA – Employees of Wimpy restaurant in the Kruger National Park (KNP), Pretoriuskop Camp are as from today (Thursday, 9 February 2017) embarking on an industrial action due to unresolved dispute between them and their employer.

Ms Molla Bonnet, managing executive for Wimpy, said to Lowvelder that management was advised about the pending strike two days ago by the 18 members of the Food and Allied Workers’ Union (FAWU). It is a relationship dispute between FAWU and the franchisee and is renumeration related.

“They are bargaining and negotiating salaries at present,” said Bonnet.

Senior management members of Famous Brands are in the area at present to try and resolve the conflict.

The group’s restaurants in the KNP were seriously disrupted with strikes during last year when staff of the Mugg and Bean franchises in the KNP, Letaba and Skukuza, downed their tools.

The restaurant will still be open for normal trading hours but will be operating with reduced staff and a smaller menu.

“We apologise for any inconvenience,” said Bonnet. She made a commitment that Wimpy will do their best to resolve the problems.

According to the KNP Managing Executive, Mr Glenn Phillips, services might be affected at the Pretoriuskop Wimpy outlet.

“As KNP management we have been in discussion with Wimpy management and have been assured that contingency plans are in place to adequately deal with the situation. However we can note that there have been disruptions at the restaurant earlier this morning.”

Phillips also apologized to guests who might have already been affected by this strike at Pretoriuskop’s Wimpy this morning due to the earlier demonstrations.

“As a precautionary measure, the SAPS together with our own traffic and security personnel have been deployed to ensure there is order at all times.”

This is the thing about privatisation, as warned about. It is a whole other Labour Relations ballgame, and the big companies work differently with the unions than parastatals do. In turn, the unions/workers monitor each other in the Park, and if one strikes and gets reward, the others will strike too, later. I put money on Cattle Baron in Skuks next!

How useless can one ever be!!??

Like saying, "cannot concoct a piss-up in a brewery,
at best of times",..
Yet we have to bow and fall to the knees, in respect,
when authority spells out the perfect standards!!

Aggh you know, becoming so peeved at self, forever
honing in on Phillips!!!

Then again, he chose that rout in life!!!
