Don't necessarily agree that the fees will go up (they will be competinmg with outside accomodation) on privatisation (unless Sanparks ask an amount way above what they receive at moment). It could possibly come down, I agree there is a need for some serious capital outlay to lift the accomodation quality, but I think Sanparks biggest costs are the staff costs. Believe better trained and more enthusiatic staff will mean they could get away with less staff, cutting back on a big cost centre. Once you also get the restaurants etc going properly, more people will be using them instead of as they are now, where few people use them, but they still need to be staffed and run.

Good points RT, I'm still not sure it would be enough though. Another issue when it comes to staff, you would have to provide employment to the local communities, so intensive ongoing training/motivation courses would add to costs.
