Fresh Water Angling

Post by Bushcraft »

Fishing in dams around KZN and more recently around JHB has always been part of my life and it’s another great way to experience the outdoors as a family.

I can’t show you guys my youngest rat with her first fish, because she caught it when she was 3 and before I got there she had loved it rather hard, so there was no release O/ (She even took it into our tent that night) 0*\

Bushpig releasing her first bass and showing her teeth at her second, hanging a cheesy with her 1st and 2nd barbel and proudly showing off her first and then largest carp

Great stuff BC, what a way to spend time with the family. There is a small damn just below the stables stocked with bass and when I need time to get my head right, I pop down there and do a bit of spinning. Nowhere near the size of the one in your pic though.
I'm off to Moz on 21st Feb to a place called Canda Island and hope to get into the odd GT, Wahoo and Cuda, we'll see. Oops this is the Fresh water thread. 0*\
