There are various messages/invitations/rumours/sales pitches etc. doing the rounds via the internet and other means at the moment inviting prospective clients to buy poached horns. AW has engaged with both antipoaching and SAPS in this regard, and been advised as follows:
1. Do not under any circumstances respond to these, even out of curiosity.
2. Do not post these on any social media or other internet site.
3. Any information obtained privately should be passed on to the relevant authorities, as per contacts indicated in the press, SANParks releases and reading material.
AW does have a number of contacts in this regard, but does not wish to be a third party regarding matters of this nature. However, should information be forthcoming from members it should be via PM/email to Moderators or Committee Members and will simply be passed on to said contacts immediately and not discussed further.
